Offside Sports is a traditional trendsetter in custom embroidery, silk-screen and custom uniforms in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years. Located in West Los Angeles, it has served businesses, schools, hospitals, sports teams and other institutions since 1980.
Our mission for Offside Sports was challenging: create a completely new brand identity and revamp the e-commerce system and its online presence.
We started with a new logo. For more than 10 years, Offside Sports used a common, “ellipsis-based” logo that was not designed to be applied over white backgrounds. It also failed to imply the spirit of a custom apparel and sports business. We designed a new logo, with smoother lines, that transmits Offside’s passion for embroidery and custom apparel in a clean, elegant visual identity. The idea of embroidery is expressed through the thin lines of a thread used in the letters, the “i” representing a needle leading to the parallel threads of an embroidery machine represented in the “ff”, and the stitches stylized in the letters that feature horizontal lines, in this case, “ff” and “t”. The new logo was an immediate success, and led to the next phase: a completely revamped online experience.
The new Offside Sports website runs on DecoNetwork, a CMS specially designed for decoration businesses. It makes the whole fulfillment process simpler, as customers can design their own garments online and send to production immediately. There was another challenge though: it is a great system, but did not handle responsive design natively at the time we had the new website launched. We went the extra mile and made it mobile responsive, expanding the experience to clients visiting the store from their mobile devices.
The work was not done yet. We also came with a completely new approach for Social Media marketing, that included campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The results did not take long to show, and Offside Sports experienced a 400% increase in conversions in a little more than 30 days after the launch of the new website.
